Performed cooling maintenance on Trane split system. Thoroughly washed outdoor condenser coil. Took amp draws on blower motor, condenser fan motor, and compressor. Inspected contactor. Tested capacitor and found it had failed. Replaced 30*5 dual run capacitor. Monitored refrigerant levels. Cleared drain line. System is cooling as intended.

Came out due to server room room unit is leaking water, upon arrival found that drain line at float switch was empty, when I check backwards thru p-trap found that the water came flooding at me, was able to catch most of it in a bowl, so to correct issue since it seems to happen once a year went ahead and rebuilt primary drain line from 90 down thru p-trap and to float switch, to confirm my concerns cut open old p-trap a picture of this can be found in history, also tested drain line with 2-32oz cups of water and I can hear it draining properly.

Upstairs unit has lost almost its complete refrigerant charge. Unit came charged with 4.5 lbs of R-22. Due to length of line set and evap coil I estimate another 2-3 lbs was added to system. System presently sits about 6 lbs low. All refrigerant will be weighed in with a digital, calibrated refrigerant scale. If less is used the estimated you will only be charged for amount used. There is no warranty on refrigerant due to leak being present in system. Downstairs unit was out on thermal overload upon the start of my diagnosis. Found a bad 45*5 Dual run cap. Capacitor needs to be replaced. 1 year part and labor warranty on dual run cap. (Added 5 lbs R-22) replaced run cap
