Meet Stephen & Amanda

Owners Stephen and Amanda Moore bring a perfect combination of experience, principles and love to Comfort Masters DFW. 

Amanda comes from a long line of entrepreneurs. Her first job as a 12-year-old girl was helping mix cement for her father’s business. Hard work builds character.

Stephen learned the HVAC business the hard way – from the ground up. At 15, he was helping his cousin install air conditioners under the brutal Texas sun. He’s mastered every roll in the HVAC business, from installer to lead installer to technician to operations manager to starting Comfort Masters. Hard work builds character.

Here’s how we work. We will:

  • schedule a service visit that works with your calendar.
  • confirm the date and time with a text and/or phone call the day before.
  • contact you the day of your appointment to let you know when to expect us to arrive.
  • introduce you to the technician who is coming to your home. You’ll see their name and photo.
  • ask you to describe to the technician what you perceive the problem to be. (We do this to head off any miscommunication.)
  • diagnose the problem
  • recommend a fix and explain alternatives
  • explain to you what delivering that fix will involve in parts, time and labor
  • answer any questions you have about our recommendations
  • give you a price for the work you approve
  • estimate the time to complete the work
  • complete the work you approve
  • review the work with you
  • email you a service report

we guarantee you will feel the difference in your home’s air

What Makes Us Different

When we diagnosis your system, we include your whole house. We’re not just checking boxes.

  • We check your insulation. Everyone knows what that is.
  • We also check for infiltration. This is the positive and negative air pressures in the house that can pull in outside air. Too much infiltration makes your home less comfortable. Too little makes your home unhealthy.
  • We look for proper returns and proper ductwork sizing.
  • We perform what’s called “a full load test” on the house. This helps us make sure your A/C system and ductwork are sized properly. Improper sizing means that your system can’t work as efficiently as it possibly could.
  • We’ll offer recommendations for improvements you can make that have nothing to do with air conditioning. This includes things like window tinting, insulation, exterior shade – anything that could cause inefficiency and discomfort.

Your home comfort system is not just two pieces of equipment. It’s a living, breathing thing across your whole house. We work to make that system perform as well as possible.

When our work is complete, you will just be starting to feel the difference. Over the next 6 months, you will both feel the difference in your home comfort and see the difference in your energy bills.
